The Squid

This is a very special, indiviual and distinctive guitar. For the building I only used exotic, noble woods,without reference to difficulties in the processing, as there may be e.g. with Buckeye Burl. That gives the guitar its very unique look and makes it a fascinating sight, as in a second sight one may discover a lot of more nice details. The Squid is a modern Strat, which can as well realize old known sounds. Concerning the sound, it´s very crystal with nice overtones. A fat and creamy sound can be achieved by turning the resonance knop a little bit. In comparism to Qian, this guitar is clearer and not so dirty.

5-way switch for different resonances (lower poti);

pichup switching:

Position 1: bridge humbucker; fat rythm sound

Position 2: splitted bridge pickup as single coil; vintage strat sound

Position 3: splitted neck pickup and splitted bridge pickup parallel with humbucking effect; known as a tele sound

Position 4: neck pickup as single coil
